Beating Information Overload

bombarded with such datas resulting at times to interuptions in our work or at home tasks, feeling distracted
and overwhelmed, problems related to our decision making may come and even our well being will be compromised.

These common problems might well be associated to information overload and it is astounding to note in dealing with this issue.

Most online marketers who are just starting out with their internet marketing venture were usually very eager to
learn and find informations to the web only to realized that there are so much to get involve in building an
online business.

Even I myself wasn’t spared with this phenomenon that I thought on giving up what I started out in my internet marketing venture recently. And yes, it took me some time to finally beat my confusions and hardships in dealing this issue, but I’m here to tell you it isn’t all too difficult to overcome.

How I dealt Information Overload issue might be hard sometimes but learning to do it might also help you beat it.

1. Focus and Self-Discipline

The best way to overcome your information overload is by taking everything at a time. Don’t confuse yourself by learning all at once and should ignore to use different methods and instead just follow one at a time first. In other words, if you think you just need to develop and built a blog, built and completely configure it first without going onto your next idea and then discipline yourself as to how much time you give for completing the tasks to avoid becoming overwhelmed.

If you happened to be in a training membership, concentrate and follow their step-by-step module trainings one at a time to maximize your learning. 2. Take Important Information

Remember that the main thing is not to take all the informations but to digest the very essential information needed then put the information into action providing results for you to get over it again. In this manner, you might discover new ideas from your previous results which can be used through the same informations you’ve made.

3. Filter E-mail inbox

How many emails do you received every single day? Maybe you still receiving emails from your subscriptions before but were not relevant to your needs today. You might want to cancell your subscription to unsubscribe you from their lists.

Better yet, learn on Google’s portal on how to filter your messages into different folders like Promotions, Spam, Social or Primary and many more. Bear in mind to only check your inbox when you are not busy doing other tasks.These may require you ample time but believe me these could help save your precious time in the long term.

4. Unwind

As we are spending more time on new technologies we must also need to know how to unwind to refreshed our mind and well being. New tecchnologies are made for our life’s advancement and we must also know and understand to tap it into our lifestyles.

Think about it. When was the last time you did something for the first time? If it’s been a while, I tell you, you’ve been missing out on a whole lot of experiences that could’ve added to your growth, emotionally, mentally, physically,spiritually or professionally.

Why don’t you try hiking on a nearby picturesque hill? Not only will you learn, but you will also have plenty of stories to share, and making you the life of your peers.

Finally, it may seem difficult to understand but once you get your grip in starting to implement this simple tips to your daily life, you will soon realized how easy they really are. You start to feel refreshed, rejuvinated and excited to take your next step towards your goal without the feeling of information overload and will discover the significant improvements in your well being as a whole.

    Very useful post Hilbert. I think this is one area we all could do with reminding on a regular basis. And I personally think it’s a really difficult area to stay focused on the no 1, no 2 perhaps most important tasks which will push our businesses forward.
