Into My Journey: To “Internet Marketing Success”

As I am starting to travel along my internet marketing journey, I started to realized that there seems to be too much to do. I felt a BIG problem to figure out what to do and how to get them right. With all the many informations coming on the web, it can be tough and very much critical that the right route be crossed and followed in starting your first step to your dream goal. If you fail from the very start, you might never have the chance to get back on your feet again.

In this post, I want to show you what excactly I did from the task to be done in the coaching program I invested through John Thornhill’s “Partnership To Success”. I want to let you know and feel that there is hope and motivating factor that would push us in whatever circumstances that we are in, on the different path that we took but all in the same dream to succeed. That is, to be the person we hope to be after the Journey.

I started back again exactly a month ago and have already learned this much. Thinking back for what I did for the last month made me feel grateful for all the persons involved in pursuing what I love to do in this journey.

***My first week…

On my first day, I excitedly browsed the members area to familiarized the step-by-step coaching program which only the first week is accessible. Remember this is done one task at a time to maximized the learning of the students. So I made my task in laying out the foundation to set my blog up, AGAIN.

I said “AGAIN” since I already have my blog set-up a year ago after first joining Partnership to Success but abruptly stop my membership due to unavoidable circumstances that got on my journey to digital lifestyle. Starting from scratch, I went directly in my hosting cpanel to install my wordpress blog. Made slight editing and settings updates suitable to launch to the public.

This time I made my first blog post back from scratch again also after my website crashed couple of months ago and now I felt a little nervous to what should I write, but in few details I manage to overcome it by partially reading the recommended book The Go Giver, to read as one of the task to be done.

Lesson learned: With the right foundation and approach in starting the journey with an end in mind to suucceed, then we will be able to get ahead in the race.

***Comes the 2nd week of training…

The 2nd week focuses on improving the look of the blog. To give my site a neat looking one, I ordered an Optimized Press theme and installed it on my wordpress blog. Then I followed the training tasks in setting up my site including the important plugins needed to optimized my blog. Since I am new to Optimized Press, I gave an ample time to familiarized the settings navigation.

To give our blog a nice looking header, Planet Divinity GFX-1 is highly recommended. Initially, I personally decided to create my own to test my creativity instead and that’s what actually installed right now, but consequently contacted Planet Divinity GFX-1 for my header graphics as I believed their expertise anyway. Now, I am just waiting for their finished header graphics delivered to me and I am excited to have it installed to my blog site.

Moving on, to enhance my creativity on the blogging sphere, I read the Bloggers Roadmap ebook guide for wannabee bloggers like me. This is an excellent guide called Bloggers Roadmap created by Dan Sumner, a fellow student of John’s training program.

Lesson learned: Reading books, ebooks, and munching on video tutorials on the subjects you like could improved your knowledge making you more valuable as a Giver.

***On the Third week of training…

This training module focuses on list building which is an essential part in building an online empire. The program emphasized the importance to start generating subscribers as to acquire your valuable lists. So I took the action to continue my subscription to Aweber for autoresponder and email marketing needs and went on to setup my first list and signup form and connecting it to my Optimized Press theme which is what you’ll see on the right side of my blog inviting you to connect with me and blog updates.

Lesson learned: The good thing in this training program is that you don’t have to be an expert in the field of internet as long as you have your big “WHY” to do it, you’ll overcome the hurdles that come across along your way.

***The final week on Month One…

In between weeks’ training, I posted couple of content topics onto my blog to start giving value to my site as well as to my future readers and sites’ visitors. And to connect with them, I followed the tasks in setting up my media accounts and placing it into my site partially since I still haven’t opened an account to other social media platforms.

Lesson learned: In order to give more value to my readers and blog site visitors, I need to create more valuable contents to learn more from me and have the way to connect with me in the best possible manner in content and through social media platforms.

As you can imagine, while having the right mindset in starting our journey would make us more likely to succeed in our undertaking, we must still remember that it is not a walk in the park. We still need the right approach and would also still need to exert more effort and motivate ourselves every bit of time to ensure to get ahead in the race into our dream lifestyle.

By going this far in reading my post, would you not start your own journey into the online world and become a member to John Thornhill’s “Partnership to Success”? I would rather say, simply start now.
